What's is the battery life on nook color?

by feggie on ‎10-26-2010 04:35 PM

So what do I do with my 3 month old Nook??? Can I trade up???

by gdswarrior87 on ‎10-26-2010 04:36 PM

6-8 hours reading. 4-6 with multimedia running..

by Galora_K on ‎10-26-2010 04:39 PM

Oh my goodness!  So many questions but the top 2?  Can I organize my side loaded content the way I want and will the covers of the side loaded content be available on the 'desktop' of the Nookcolor?

by Certifried on ‎10-26-2010 04:39 PM

Keep your nook. Buy this one, in addition, if you want a tablet. I'm actually disappointed in the color Nook. I thought it was going to be color e-ink, not backlit! I like to read for long stretches of time, and the eye strain is too much on backlit screens. If I wanted to do that, I'd use my iPad.

by Suz725 on ‎10-26-2010 04:39 PM

Is NookColor backlit?

by lunameow on ‎10-26-2010 04:39 PM

I just bought my 3G nook in July for only $50 less than this.  Wish I'd waited.  Especially since this means there's not likely to be anymore development done on the old ones. Now my husband can tease me even more every time a new game comes out for his Kindle, or when he's able to use the search function to find his books, organize them into categories, etc.  Meh.

by JoshLTRyan on ‎10-26-2010 04:40 PM

How is it in the sun is the real question.  I love e-ink because I read outside a lot, I would hate to lose that ability.  I have an iPad as well, great screen, horrible in sunlight.  It's a backup to my nook as a reading device  (it's primarily used to rdp and vnc).

by AlterEgo on ‎10-26-2010 04:44 PM

Sad story... Bought NOOK for 259 (the wi-fi one, NOT 3G). The price was lowered by a 100 dollars within 2 months of my purchase. Cannot exchange it because the exchange is for 14 days only. Now they are coming out with a color which is still lower than what I paid for a Wi-Fi Black and White. Now I don't want to read on my nook :smileysad: Wish they had some reasonable/rational as opposed to irrational/outrageous exchange offer

Moral of the story: With companies releasing a new version every couple of months you are better off reading regular books for now, as it would take at least 40 books to equal the carbon emissions by one eReader anyway.

Wow, why am I not surprised ?? .. bought my Nook in September. Thanks for nothing!

by Airy on ‎10-26-2010 04:48 PM

I just got my nook wi-fi yesterday - can I trade it in plus the difference?

by ArmyGal44 on ‎10-26-2010 04:49 PM

That's why I was always afraid of buying today's technology!!  I cannot keep up!!  This is far as it goes.  Sticking with the Nook and that's it.

by Maggaroony on ‎10-26-2010 04:52 PM

I bought my Nook 9/30/10.  I called to find out about returning/exchanging and was told you have 14 days to return it.  The store is supposed to call me back about what I can do since I am a very, very unhappy camper right now. Especially since I told the sales person I was hesitant to buy it because there was no color.  One word from her and I would have waited.  I sincerely hope there is some consideration for people like me.

by Walrus71 on ‎10-26-2010 04:56 PM

I have an original Nook, guess I'll just use it unless Barnes & Noble rewards us faithful who supported them in the beginning. I'm not holding my breath tho.

If we had not supported all the glitches and headaches, there would be no new devices. Maybe Apple is the way to go.

by Jolim on ‎10-26-2010 04:58 PM

Will this be able to download apps from the android marketplace?
