New NOOK Books

Categories: New NOOK Books

As a baby of the 80s, I’m among the many generations whose early years were shaped by Sesame Street. I learned how to count from The Count, will never forget that C is for Cookie, and can’t pass a garbage can without wondering if Oscar is hiding inside.

So I’m incredibly excited to announce that many favorite Sesame Street books are now available for NOOK readers. In fact, one of my very favorite books as a child—The Monster at the End of This Book starring Grover—is among the new releases.

I hope you’ll have a chance to share these invaluable classic picture books with your kids.

My toddler loves Elmo and loves reading books on my Nook Color. Can't wait to download some of these Sesame Street books! They're sure to be a hit!

My daughter loved The Monster at the End of the Book when she was growing up!!!!  When she became pregnant with her first child the first thing I went out and bought was his own copy of the book.  I'll always love this one too.

Love Grover.  Read The Monster at the End of this book to my children and gave a copy to the grandchildren when they came along.

As a distant grandparent, I wonder if anyone has figured out how to "read" the book into a sound recording and attach it to the Nook book, so my grandchild will hear me reading to him.

I'm glad to see that there's now a Nook KIDS for the iPad, but any word on when there'll be a similar offering for Android users? I'd love to start downloading these for my nephew for when we get to spend time together but I can't as I don't have a Nook Tablet, nor a Nook Color nor an iPad. I just have an Android Tablet. I'm feeling very left out of the cold. :smileysad:

Hi eaboston,

In fact, NOOK Tablet has a feature called "Read and Record" that offers the ability to record you own voice for all picture books.
