New NOOK Books

Categories: New NOOK Books

Dangerously ambitious and short on scruples, Lacey Yeager will stop at nothing – shady sales and sexual bartering included – to become the biggest player in NYC’s art scene, but when the wealth vanishes post 9/11, Lacey, and the City itself, are forced to reevaluate their legacies.

With books like Shopgirl, The Pleasure of My Company, and An Object of Beauty -- to say nothing of his comedic pedigree – Martin’s is easily one of the most talented voices we have.

NOOK owners: go to shop, and search “Steve Martin” to find a list of his books.

he was doing a reading in store today (union square store - NYC) from what i heard i would buy an ebook (not a DTB) but only if it was less then $10. the story iis solidly written but it reads to much like a book being written for a nora ephron optioned chick flick.

I grew up enjoying all of Steve Martin's work on stage, screen and at the word processor.  People pay plenty of money for entertainment, movies, concerts...why then would you not pay more than $10 for a book?  Enthralling stories which takes you on a journey into a whole other world, to meet new friends, open your mind to new ideas..There are many times when a book ends I feel as though my best friend has moved away.  The great thing about owning a book is that it is always there waiting for you to revisit.  You can also share this newly discovered journey with a friend.  When the friend is finished then both of you can discuss the book over a glass of wine, over the phone or "My BN".  Kind of like comparing notes on a wonderful vacation.  These are the kind of stories Steve Martin writes, at least IMHO!

I'm sorry I missed the reading in NYC.  Do you think Steve Martin will come anywhere near NE PA?  I will be the first in line!  Oh, how do I get my new Steve Martin e-book autographed?  Maybe that is a suggestion for the tech folks and a seperate blog.
