We know there’s significant interest in what eNewspapers and eMagazines will be available for nook (and other eReader clients) through the Barnes & Noble eBook store.

We haven’t released a full list yet, and they won't be available for sale until late November. But we've assembled a partial list, and we're adding more titles every week.

When they’re ready, eNewspapers and eMagazines will be available for subscription and single-issue sales. If you buy a single issue, it’ll go immediately into your eBooks Library. If you buy a subscription, the current issue will go immediately into your eBooks Library; new issues will go into your Library as they are available, and notifications will be sent to your nook in The Daily. New issues typically arrive in the early morning hours, ready for you to read when you start your day.  (Full details about any particular title will be available in our eBook store when they go on sale.)

Hello, antgly.

Thanks for the suggestions. This is just a partial list, posted because there was so much interest in the topic. We'll be able to say more after the eNewspaper and eMagazine pages go live. Thanks for understanding.

It's a good start - I already see a couple I would like to subscribe to :smileyhappy:

If both my husband and I have our own nooks, can we share a single subscription to a newspaper over our breakfast? Otherwise I don't see replacing our paper newspaper.

by IAMAMY on 10-27-2009 08:42 AM

Is this e-subscription different than that which I already have?  For example, I am already a NYTimes subscriber and can access the online content.  Can I use the Nook for that access, or do I need to purchase a separate Nook subscription?

by Kristine_S on 10-27-2009 03:27 PM

Hi slowest-rider. Yes, you can share a single subscription to a newspaper on two separate nooks that are registered to the same B&N account—just like you can share eBooks under one account. Thanks for the question.

Will we be able to re-download issues we deleted?

by Kristine_S on 10-27-2009 06:01 PM

In a previous comment I indicated that existing newspaper subscriptions would be supported by nook. This is incorrect. Subscriptions to eNewspapers must be made through nook in order to be supported through nook. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Please make the following magazines and newspapers available on Nook: Ocean Navigator Magazine; CQ Magazine;Cruising World Magazine; Sail Magazine; Miami Herald Newspaper; and El Diario Newspaper.

Thanks

Hello! Im from México, and i´d like to know if the nook would work here. For example: If i´d like to download a book or have a subscription from a magazine, can i do it from here? or i need to be in the States?

Thanks

Re ... Eagle632 and Sylvana,

YES YES YES! Please add "Good Old Boat" to the magazines wish list!!!!!

And my wife and I also cruise on our sail boat in Mexico and would LOVE to be able to get books, papers and magazines.

I'm looking forward to this!

My newspapers are on the list, so that is a go, though the reader is small and the traditional newspaper layout is large....

The magazine list is woefully inadequate.  Not even in the ball park.  I guess that is not really the fault of BN as the magazine has to be willing to produce it's product in an "e" format.

I had imagined reading disposable magazines on the nook, but I can see that, for now, that "ain't happening".  Too bad.

I will definitely subscribe to some of the newspapers. I love reading the newspaper, but for some reason I still haven't perfected the art of reading one neatly. I usually end up with paper all over the place and searching desperately for pages. Hopefully, Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine will make the magazine cut.

Hi,

I saw this question got asked in the forum, but an answer was not readily apparent. What are the expected prices for subscription? And can a enewspaper (or some section thereof, like the Sports or Metro) be on two nooks at the same time, or will the entire enewspaper be on one nook at a time?
