You know, Jeremy, a lot of people (and I do mean a lot) get very confused if the top entry in the NOOK Blog on Friday and through the weekend is not the Free Fridays post.

For those who are looking for it today, it's here:

It says they are new or upcoming books.  Those are never free on Friday or anyother day.

The point is that people coming to the Nook Blog looking for Free Fridays are finding this article instead.

Do they have a reading comprehension problem?  This is obviously not a Free Friday entry.

by on ‎02-22-2013 03:55 PM

Obviously.  And then they start posting messages all over the place asking where the Free Friday entry is.  Because normally, from Friday morning to Monday morning, the first entry in the NOOK Blog is Free Friday, and if it isn't there a lot of people don't know where to look.

And before you suggest that it should be obvious, remember that B&N just released a software change to the screensaver telling people to push the button on their NST to wake it up, because so many people couldn't figure it out on their own.

I like a mystery that has an element of surprise that comes out of the blue!  Something that is totally unexpected makes a good mystery!

Thanks Jeremy for all the great selections.  From Free Fridays to mystery suggestions, you are fabulous.

I like to read a mysteries with characters that I like and a mystery I can't easily figure out. Those all look like good mysteries by authors I have hear of but not tried yet.

Maybe the folks who couldn't find the free Friday entry don't like mysteries and those of us who do enjoyed figuring out where it was.  : )

For me, the best mysteries are the ones where I can't anticipate the ending.  Too often I figure things out halfway through and then finish the book, hoping I am wrong.  I am always disappointed when I am right, and give those books a low rating.

A good mystery has to have that great twist that you just didn't see coming.
