Laurell K. Hamilton fans are rejoicing as Divine Misdemeanors (Meredith Gentry series #8) releases today. Protagonist Meredith -- Merry to her friends -- is a faerie-princess-meets-private-investigator who finds herself pregnant with twins in this chapter of her fantasy saga. In an attempt to establish a peaceful environment for her unborn children, Merry refuses the throne of faerie and flees to Los Angeles. But the city of angels is no haven for Merry, as she must take on the deadly factions of the faerie courts to survive in this pulse-pounding tale.

Prefer vampires over faeries? Then Hamilton's Anita Blake series might be for you.

Known for his frequent appearances on Oprah show, Dr. Mehmet Oz released his NY Times bestselling health guide You, the Owner's Manual  in 2006. As a result, millions of people received an education in caring for their most valuable possession: their bodies. Today, excerpts from the book become available as indivual eBooks at individual prices: $1.99 each. Don't you love that? The excerpts from Dr. Oz's book include:

Go ahead, get to know yourself.

Hey, teen eReaders, we've got a good one for you: Fallen by Lauren Kate. In this darkly romantic supernatural tale, the beautiful Lucinda (Luce) Price is enrolled in conservative reform school (no cell phones, no Internet) after surviving a fire that took the life of her close friend. In this repressive atmosphere, she finds herself drawn to the mysterious and utterly aloof Daniel Grigori, a fellow student. As she battles the evil, terrifying shadows that seem to appear wherever she goes, Luce is determined to find out the secret Daniel is keeping.

Dangerously exciting, Fallen is a page-turning thriller and the ultimate love story.

Have you gotten your hands on The Lost Symbol  yet? For those of you in the thick of Dan Brown's latest novel (or those who finished it the day it came out -- you know who you are), author John Weber offers An Illustrated Guide to The Lost Symbol. This tome takes on Robert Langdon's latest adventure, and attempts to decode Brown's engaging mysteries, riddles, ciphers, and conspiracies. He even includes a fully illustrated tour of the arcana of Washington, D.C. A must-have companion to one of this year's brightest bestsellers.

Great.  But How come that the JUST RELEASED --  The Disciple (Tommy Carmellini Series #4) by Stephen Coonts is not available in eRead??   It is avilable in Kindle...

I also see that the new WEB Griffin book is avalable for B&N preorder but no e-read.  Again available at Amazon for preorder in hard or Kindle.

Will the selection of newspapers and magazines for nook be expanded, and if so, how soon? As far as I can tell, there are currently only four newspapers and nine magazines available for nook -- and publications that are pictured on the nook main page (The Boston Globe, The New Yorker) do not seem to be available!

Any ideas when (if?) we might expect an expanded selection?

Got my nook on Wed and used it twice, now it won't turn on. The battery is showing full, and I have no idea what is going on. I hope I didn't get a lemon.

Panic attack today - I recieved the e-mail a few weeks ago saying that my nook would be delayed but would ship 12/21 with free overnight shipping.  I pulled up my order today just to confirm that it will go out and had a note that said "This item has been delayed.  You must click on "I want this item" to keep your order or it will automatically cancel in 24 hours.  I sure hope they aren't going around cancellign Nook orders!!! I hit the link but do expect my product tmro. (for Christmas!).  I am now very worried. Anybody else on the 12/21 ship plan and had this problem?

I too am scheduled to recieve mine tomorrow and got the same message as yours.  I called cs twice this morning and was told mine would be here tomorrow.  I told the one operator about the message and she told me to disregard it, but I'm worried as well

When will more eMagazines be available for the nook?  I'm especially interested in O Magazine.  When it's time to renew, I'd like to renew as a digital subscription to be received on my nook.
