We’ve been getting lots of questions from customers, so we wanted to confirm that we will soon be adding a new B&N eReader for iPad – continuing to fulfill our promise of providing consumers any book, any time, any where.
Designed specifically for the iPad, our new B&N eReader will give our customers access to more than one million eBooks, magazines and newspapers in the Barnes & Noble eBookstore, as well as the existing content in their Barnes & Noble digital library. (That includes eBooks and content customers have downloaded to their nook™ eBook reader.)
To be released around the time of iPad’s expected availability, the new Barnes & Noble eReader will join our growing list of free eReader software for most computing and mobile devices including PC, Mac, iPhone, iPod touch and Blackberry, many of which will be updated shortly for an enhanced on-the-go reading experience.
Don’t have our eReader software for your desktop or mobile device? Learn more here to download the B&N eReader and enjoy reading on the go.

I personally hope the iPad is an abysmal failure. Apple is an overrated company.
Why don't you address the concerns of Nook owners instead of people who might buy an iPad? There are plenty of issues being ignored on the forums.

I think the development of a B&N app for the Ipad is right on. I have a nook and enjoy it very much, but I will also be purchasing an Ipad. The ability to use both devices for reading electronic content is a huge plus. In addition, the more competition there is out there for electronic content, the better off the consumer will be.

An ereader app for the iPad is fine and dandy, but could we get the sync between ereader software to work? I have a nook , an iPod Touch and a desktop and I read on all three and have to manually find what page I left off on because the sync does not work and never has. Love the nook, but need the sync.

I have a nook, but would love to have an Android b&n reader app for my Motorola Droid. Is this going to be available? You have readers for many mobile devices, but have neglected the entire Android market.

What is interesting, Is_reader, is that the nook is an android operating system based device itself, so it certainly seems logical that b&n would have a reader app for android based phones!!

Thank you for making this available on the iPad! I have been using the B&N app on my iPhone for awhile and will be getting an iPad as well. I appreciate B&N's support of other devices.

Yea!! I'm a huge Apple user and plan to buy an iPad -- now I'm glad I don't have to give up my nook to use the iPad; I can use both -- and continue to buy ebooks from B&N, as well as the iBooks app (when it's released). Great move, B&N!!

I bought an iPad on April 3rd. Unfortunately, I have had to stop reading my B&N ebooks as there is still no iPad app. Kindle, Kobo, and Apple all have apps ... so I have been forced to purchase ebooks from only those suppliers .... hope B&N gets an iPad app out soon, the iPhone app is too small at original size and too blurry at the iPad 2x zoom.
