I understant that you can put multiple nooks on a single account, but can you put one nook on multiple accounts?

My boyfriend and I have separate accounts that we have had for a while, but we both ordered nooks and want to be able to access each other's libraries without having to make a third account that we can share.

A nook can only be registered to one account at a time.  For your situation, I think I would choose one of your accounts to use with both nooks rather than making a third one.  Do either of you have ebooks already purchased through B&N?

Re: Book Lending

Neither of us has bought any ebooks yet, but we have separate credit cards and we want to keep our gift cards separate.  We could probably work it out on one of our accounts.

Thanks

Re: Book Lending

My guess is that book lending on the Nook is being seriously limited by the publishers. The reason is pretty simple: With unlimited lending it would relatively simple for someone to set up a digital library. Publishers hate libraries, as they allow consumers to read books without paying for them. I'm sure that the concept of a true digital library scares them to no end.

Think of it: A non-profit Nook library is created, funded with the purchase of 10,000 books. Initially, that's a good deal for B&N and the publishers, but as those books are lent out digitally for two weeks, time after time, those are all lost sales. The worst part is that there isn't "wear and tear," which would lead to the potential of further library purchases. It's one and done.
