Filenames of .pdf files downloaded to nook

I downloaded a number of .pdf files to my nook.  Now that they're there, the filenames as they show up in "My Documents" on my nook don't match the filenames as they show up when reading my nook in "drive mode" on my computer.  The open up and read just fine.  Is there a way to get the filenames to either match, or to create my own more descriptive title for the file that's on my nook?

Re: Filenames of .pdf files downloaded to nook

Please disregard.  I figured out what the issue is.  The nook reads the "Title", etc., info of the.pdf file (found by right-clicking the file, clicking on "Properties", and them on the "PDF" tab), as opposed to the filename.  Since I'm not the autor of the .pdf files i downloaded, I can't change this info.  Thanks to all who read this and were considering helping me find a solution.

Another workaround is to sideload them using Calibre instead of Finder or Windows Explorer (Mac or Windows respectively), Calibre allows you to edit metadata and has worked for me when pdfs were not loading titles correctly.

Yeah, you have to edit the metadata using Calibre or something like that.  This has been an issue for me because I had a ton of pdfs I was looking forward to reading on the nook.  They *appeared* to have the title and author as the filename in Windows.  Turned out their filenames were really something like 23490234789234.pdf with no author or title metadata at all.
