HELP!!! My Shipping date just got pushed back to January 20!!!!

I ordered my nook on November 10, got my email saying that my shipping date would be December 21...today!!! I just logged in to check my shipping status and it now says January 20, 2010!!!
What happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are a lot of threads on this board about this. In short, the date has been pushed back again. It probably won't be shipping today, but they are trying to get them before December 24. The date of Jan 20 is "wrong" according to CS, but I don't have faith that it won't be pushed back until then.
They have promised some customers $100 gift cards if it's not delivered by the 24th, which to me is a kicking deal.

Add me to this list as well. I've had a Dec. 11, Dec. 22 and now a Jan. 20 ship date! PLEASE just tell me that I will someday get my nook. It is for my hubby for Christmas. I check the site every hour hoping that I may see that it has shipped.

Oh, question...is anyone receiving emails telling them thier shipping date has changed? I don't know what is going on unless I check my account on this site. An occasional email would be nice as an update to what is going on.

I got an e-mail regarding the initial delay from 12/11 to 12/21, but did not get a second e-mail regarding the latest delay. I happened to log on to check my order status, saw the 'if you still want this order...' message, confirmed that, and now have the January-20-but-really-December-24-honest-please-be

the same thing happened to me. The only reason I was able to respond to the "click within 24 hours if you still want your nook" was because I check my order status every day and I checked yesterday morning and got the message.
It's actually been 24 hours since I got the message on my account order page, and I still haven't received the e-mail warning me about it. I wonder how many people are going to accidentally get their nooks cancelled because they don't spend obsessive amounts of time on their computer reading these threads and checking their order status?

Just spoke with CS they told me that there are delays and I may not get it until January. I asked about the $100 credit, they said that was being sent to some customers via email and if I received that email it would be honored...
...I guess that means I'm in limbo...kinda frustrating...

Thanks for the update, BanjoChris. I'm not liking how some are getting the $100 credit and others may not. It should be a one for all.

That happened to me. But my order got canceled, even though it was supposed to ship today.
I logged in at 1:40AM and saw the alert message that the order would be canceled in 24 hours if I didn't agree I still wanted it, and it still showed a 12/21 ship date. I tried to click "I still want this" and twice I was taken to a page confirming that I wanted to cancel, after the second time it said it would ship on 1/20, and then after I refreshed the page 10 minutes later it showed the order was canceled. B&N says I clicked cancel three times and I now cannot resurrect my order unless I put in a new order to receive it on 2/1/10.
After all that, I had an email after that (at 1:45AM) saying that it was too late to cancel since it was being prepared to ship, and then 5 minutes later an email confirming it was canceled. I am so angry right now I could spit!
