Oh really? If you check out the iMac support forums over at Apple you'll see plenty of posts regarding serious issues there too. Apple Support Forums It doesn't mean the iMac is bad, it just means it has problems like ALL electronic gadgets do, especially new ones.
All products have a percentage of units w/issues. Sure there are people posting problems here (these are the HELP forums after all), but there are also plenty of people very happy with their new nooks that are reporting no major problems.
The question is what percentage of units have a problem, and that's impossible to tell from forum posts. So, just like any other device, many nook owners won't have any serious issues, but some people will.
