Magazines on Nook

Why don't you just put the actual print on the eInk screen, and put a smaller, modified version of the picture in he color screen below?  I can't see why not.  Obviously, the picture would be smaller, but the nook would appeal to a lot more people if you could see pictures on nook.

While on the topic, I would also like to see Cook's Illustrated in the magazine selection.  It's compatible since every thing is black and white and it's just like a newspaper.
