After succesfully downloading two books, I now get Network Unavailable as well. I tried the 1-800-843-8665 digital support number given to another post and it was not a viable number. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry about that, the number should be 1-800-843-2665 (1-800-THE-BOOK).
Before calling, you may want to try going into your Barnes & Noble online account and reentering your credit card and billing address information. I've seen some feedback where this has helped when someone gets the "unable to connect" error.

Well B&N tech support blamed it on my network. I then politely state that I disagree with them because every other wifi device in my house is able to connect. These are the items I have connected to my wireless iPods, Wii, Xbox360, Laptops, Printers, Blue Ray, and the other stuff that I'm forgetting. ![]()
I'm using DD-WRT on both my router and my ap. I have WPA2/AES and only allow mac address that I know onto my wireless. My nook tells me that it's connected but when I actually go and try to purchase or browse. I receive the "Network unavailable"

There were a couple other posts that suggest totally re-entering your account info on the web site, including removing and then re-adding your default CC solved this problem for others.
One guy even purchased an ebook (something cheap I presume) after doing this and from then on all worked correctly.
I'm not sure I would downgrade the OS, that seems like throwing gas on the fire if you ask me.
I might consider doing a factory reset (you will lose all content and have to re-download), but that
could leave you with nothing to read if you can't get downloading working.

Yep - Having to Side load too ..
I really think its due to the location ...
Yep - exactly the same - Cant connect to the library via wifi from outside the US.
BUT - It specifically says on the web site you can - theres now a fair chunk of us reporting this - Can we get the admins on this because Tech support have no Idea,
G.
