No "LOOK UP WORD" on my nook!

While I am reading, there is no option on the touch screen to "look up word" in the built in dictionary. Why?

Touch the touchscreen and push up to reveal menu items lower down on the screen.

Yes, it is the 5th choice on the touchscreen when reading a book. Only 4 choices fit on the screen at once. Use your finger to swipe in an upward motion on the scroll bar on the right side of  the touchscreen.
