Do all e-readers flicker black when you turn the page and is that annoying to you? I'm strongly leaning towards the Nook, I checked the prices and the books I like are not different from Amazon.

That was my initial thought too. After spending a couple of hours playing with the Sony ereader in the Sony Styles store it was annoying at first but something I became accustom too.

Thank you, does anyone else have an opinion about the flickering page?

that's how e-ink works (for now). There is actually ink in the screen and it is electronically moved around, which i guess takes a second or whatever. So until some company speeds that process up or comes out with a new / better way then that is what we have. Kindle is the same way.
