Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

How do you remove an eBook sample on the nook?

I have only found this ability online at B&Ns website.  Log into your account, and manage your library.  Click delete on the sample book.  When you next click update B&N content, the sample book will be removed.  Its kind of annoying...

You are correct. Samples can only be deleted from your account in the B&N website. Full books can be archived from the nook itself.

and, yes....not being able to remove a sample directly from the nook is a little annoying. Maybe this is something that can be changed in a future update.....PLEASE!!!

Yes....Please, please. please add a delete option in the nook...especially for samples, but it would also be nice if we could delete full books as well.

Archive is how u "delete" a full book from your nook. This removes it from your nooks internal memory and stores it on the B&N servers, kinda like putting it back on your "nookshelf" for later viewing. You can "hide" the archived items in the "My Library" menu from the touchscreen so you do not see them in your book list.

Totally deleting a full book (Do you throw a dead tree book away after you read it?) can be done from the B&N website, I believe.

How about removing a whole book.  I have it archived on both BN reader and nook.  I want to be totally rid of it.  One of the worst books I have ever seen.  It was one of the free romance books and pure porn.

go to your online ebook library (on the BN website, not the nook), and there should be a "delete" option under each book (whether it's in the archive or the main library).  It's small (probably to discourage you from accidentally deleting something you only meant to archive!).

Remove it from the BN reader using the delete function and update the Nook's BN content

Re: Removing a free eBook sample on the nook?

I was glad to hear there was a way to delete book samples.  But when I go to "my library" online, my sample ebooks aren't there.  Can someone please tell me how to do it?  Thanks.
