Searches, local and global

My Kindle lacks local searches so that if I want to find a word or phrase in the test of a magazine or book I am reading it looks through every indexed book or periodical on the kindle, wasting a lot of time.  Having the option of doing a local or global search would be nice.  Is that included in the Nook?

Thanks for your inquiry Golfista.  nook will have a search function available that allows you to search the text in the eBook or document that you are currently reading.
