Ok, not sure what I'm doing wrong...
After I'm through reading, and want to put the nook to "sleep", I read where I'm supposed to hold down the power button on top of the nook for about a second. When I do that, it only activates the touch screen if it had turned itself off during reading. If I then press the power button again, the nook goes to sleep.
If I hold the power button down just a little longer when I'm through reading, it turns the nook completely off. I can't seem to get the timing down on how long to hold the power button down.
Am I missing something, or do I just have to practice more? ![]()

Try pushing the button once for a second, then pause, then press it once more for a second. That works for me....

If you just leave it alone, it will automatically go to sleep by itself. The different times for the sleep timer are in your settings. So if you keep turning your nook on and off then maybe you should just consider this option instead so you won't lose your bookmarks and stuff.
