Trouble Transferring Book from Computer to Nook

Until recently I haven't had any trouble transferring my books to my nook.  Today I bought a book from bn.com and am able to read it on my computer, but when I transfer to my nook it won't open.  It continues to say formatting and doesn't ever format.  Please help me with this problem as I would like to read my book on my nook not my computer.

You might try transfering it manually (browsing to where the book is on your computer, and then copy and paste to the my documents on the nook and see if that works better for you.  You also might try going on your nook and deleting the file, and then recopying it.  Make sure to eject your nook properly when you unplug it from your computer.

Most of the ebooks I had bought prior to getting my nook got stuck in formatting when I tried to read them on the nook. All my books came from B&N. I then deleted them from the nook B&N Library and loaded them from the B&N Desktop Reader to "my Documents" on the nook (via USB cable and PC) and haven't had any problems reading them since. Tech support spent an hour with me having me jump through all sorts of hoops like taking the battery out and rebooting, which did not help, and the lady at my local B&N store didn't even want to discuss the problem. It was somebody on this board who suggested transferring the ebooks to "my Documents."
