Writability

Nook sounds great.

When will it be updated so that we can highlight or take notes with a stylus though?

If you can do that better than Kindle, I'll be the first to buy.

Re: Writability

Are you asking for handwritten note capability?

I depend on a keyboard to make my note taking legible.

Re: Writability

Thanks for the question Coffee_Lover.  At this time we don't have an update planned so that you can take notes with a stylus. However, with nook you will be able to bookmark, highlight passages, and make notes.

Re: Writability

Thanks for the response Josh_W.

I'm heading to the store to test it out and looking forward to it.

I think the stylus would be a great update if you want to get into the student market (which is pretty big) given the University of Washington complaints with Amazon's Kindle during their marketing experiment.

BTW I'm glad B&N is finally getting tech savy - you guys still have a ways to go - but I'm so happy you're jumping in. If you want some Gen Y advice your next step should be to revamp your website so it's not so much a duplicate store but rather a functional portal to quickly get what you want.

Keep it up -- Good work!

I think you are looking for something else than a book reader.... it's called a TABLET COMPUTER !

Re: Writability

lol! your right. but I want a hybrid that has the best of both - electronic ink with eye-friendly light and stylus note functionality with wifi connectivity. That's the perfect swiss army knife ebook for me.
