for those asking how to do the update, mine would not do it in the daily. I had to drop to my library, and "Check B&N for new content" and then it started the download.

Same for me.

Re: nook says downloading update!!!

HELP...

The new update does not find Adobe ADE books I got from the Library.

I was in the middle of one and now they do not appear in my Documents - they are on the device, but do not show.

I looked for new content

I delete through adobe and copied them back

I looked for new content

I shut down and restarted the device and then looked for new content.

The books do not show up...

Any ideas.....

I don't have any Adobe ADE books from the library; my problem is with how "My Documents" is sorting my sideloaded docs now, after the update. In short: It's not sorting them. They're all just tossed in randomly. How are your docs organized now? Is it also totally random?

Yes, they appear to be random - not by title or author..

Re: nook says downloading update!!!

Took almost an hour to download using 3G in midtown Manhattan with full signal bars. Consumed 45% of my battery doing it (with wi-fi turned off). Dont know if there is an issue with running out of juice mid-update, but you may wish to keep your power cord to hand.

Yup. Mine are jumbled, too. Here's one argument for organizing sideloaded content in folders, though. All of the Shakespeare plays I sideloaded and placed in folders (tragedy, comedy, hunh?) inside a general William Shakespeare folder are all together. Phew.

Apart from the My Documents toss ups, though, the update downloaded and installed quickly and smoothly. Rebooting the device took the longest time (and had me [doing something with] "bricks" that the update would erase all of my stuff.

Thanks to you all for the tip about checking My Library for the update instead of the Daily.

Same here.

My Adobe Digital Edition books borrowed from the local library does not show.

My documents seem rather haphazardly sorted as well.

I don't rely on my ADE books much, but it was a nice feature to have.  Hope they get that sorted out.

Well perhaps there is an advantage to not having my nook yet.  Download fixes first, then books - if that is possible.  I did find myorder form and checked it - says expected ship date is the 23rd.  Hope the weather holds off.

Re: nook says downloading update!!!

It's for sure snappier on page turns and I like seeing battery and clock consistently at the top.

I'm finding that it only avoids reformatting on the most recently read book.  If you flip between books like I do, you'll find it still reformats the books you were previously reading.  Not a big deal to me but some will be disappointed if they were expecting otherwise.

My Documents is definitely in a different order than before, but then I didn't find the old order particularly meaningful.   We really do need a better way to organize My Documents (not that I was expecting it in this first update).  Lack of folders or some other way to organize content, and lack of search / sort / filter on My Documents, have been my biggest beefs all along.   But I'm sure they'll sort that out.

I don't  have any Adobe books so no clue on that issue.

Re: nook says downloading update!!!

I had to move the pdf files from Digital Editions folder into My documents folder to make them visible again.

Re: nook says downloading update!!!

Sure enough.   I downloaded some free content from Adobe and it didn't show up, but moving the files to My Documents now shows them in the list.

Thanks for that tip Harih.

That works.

Now what (if anything) should we do with that messy structure under the Digital Editions directory?

Does it need to be there?
