crAZRick, Plot and Character-- Writing Exercise

Richard King is an amateur/internet poker player; he’s a home-body, he has Zero social skills since his wife got cancer and died, leaving him broke and broken. His goal is to take on the World Poker Tour and eventually make his way to the World Series of Poker, to face his fears of social situations, conquer that field of thousands, and possibly make millions that would make his other meager pursuits of writing novels and selling screenplays all the more easy to accomplish. He would have to come out of his shell, leave his comfort zone, get off his ass and get back out into the world again after 5 years as a shut-in; that in itself would change a man, or at least, change him back , put him back on course to becoming the person he was destined to be before life knocked him down a peg or two. He will learn to live again, to trust again, and, probably, to love again (have to go after the female 25-49 demographic, so there has to be some sappy romantical garbage in the mix, right??) He will develop social skills, while honing his anti-social tendencies at the perfect venue: the poker table.

All this, without knowing my plot… oh wait, I think I just wrote one! :smileyhappy:
I no longer regret that I have no quote, quip or anecdote to share with my countrymen... how about all y'all?
