My favorite of all time is The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. That one captured me and made me FEEL the bugs and the cold. Next would come Cujo. I've owned St. Bernards and a Pinto Station wagon with a carburetor problem exactly like the one described. That one was horribly believable for me, and I couldn't put it down until I finished it.

My favorite Stephen King's book was Salem's Lot. I read it one night when I was a teenager and it scared me very much but I couldn't put it down. I was hooked. I also like Cell and Insomina.
My favorite would have to be insomnia because not only did I have insomnia at the time but I had just had my son and he kept looking over my head as if watching something I couldn't see.

The first book that I read if KIng's was Pet Semetary and it was fantastic. Then, I read The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. It was very realistic, like you said, and very thrilling. I am currently in the middle of Cujo and like it so far.
