Introductions

Here's a place where we can introduce ourselves. Just arriving in this space for the first time to talk with Lisa Scottoline about Daddy's Girl? Or have you been reading along with our prior picks? Let us know!

Re: Introductions

Hi....

My name is Linda. I new to the on-line book club but not new to Lisa Scottoline's books. I'm an avid mystery/suspense reader. Looking forward to reading the book with the group.

Re: Introductions

I have participated in the last two BNU reading groups of Lisa's books. I retired last year and returned to Phila. and my beloved Phillies (they lost today. Boo-Hoo). I enjoy the strong female characters in her books and find the her descriptions of the Phila. area to be right on the money.

Re: Introductions

Hi everyone!
I'm not new to B&N book clubs or to Lisa Scottoline's books! I have read almost every one and enjoy them. I like Lisa's description of them as women's adventure stories. Nat is a bit like me, in that, as a child, I would enjoy nothing more than a new Nancy Drew mystery while my cat curled up in my lap. Now I enjoy nothing more than a new book of Lisa's, while my cat curls up in my lap! :smileyhappy:
I've participated in other B&N book clubs: The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield and also Manhunt by James Swanson. I love to read mysteries mostly, but also like to read about American history and some biographies.

Re: Introductions

Hello all;
So glad there is another great book out by Lisa. You just can't stop reading them!
They are so addictive! Wow! I have read all of hers now I believe. And I was in the last two book clubs on the old Barnes and Nobles University. Yes I am a old hand at this reading on line thing. And I simply adore it!

[ Edited ]
Hi,
I'm Lois. I am new to book clubs in general. This is the first book and discussion that I've been involved with through B&N. Also the first book I've read by Lisa. I love reading new authors. If I get excited about a first book I'm likely to read many more by the same author. It sounds like this might be one of those circumstances. Although I've just started the book, I'm sucked in already. I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts with others as I go along.

I too love mystery and suspense.

Side note...tonight I'm off to a book club meeting with real live people. I decided to try both routes.

Re: Introductions

Hi all!

I'm not finished with the book yet but I will still be following along. I can't resist the chance to participate in this discussion in some form or another. My mom and I love your books Lisa. I think the back story for the characters adds to the adventure. You care about the people more and feel like there is something at stake.

I've participated in several clubs here but this is my first chance to be involved with a Scottoline book. It's spring sports season at my house so it's busy around here. I'll be taking the book with me and reading in the bleachers every chance I get. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Introductions

Debbie,

It's baseball season at my house too, and if I'm lucky, I get to be in the bleachers! Tonight it was concession stand (again!) and if it's not that, it's pitch-count, scorekeeper, announcer, etc... I almost feel guilty when I just get to watch. :smileyhappy:

And of course, that's another great advantage of books, I never have to be without mine! So perfectly portable.

Re: Introductions

Hi, my name is Debbie, this is my 3rd book club by B&N. I have read all of Lisa's books and can't wait to see you again in Freehold on Tuesday--I have also recruited a few 'gal pals' to come along. I am looking forward to a great discussion, I am half way thru Daddy's Girl.
Stephanie is your husband home from the service? Hope all is well.
