Thank you, Donti and kiakar. I don't know what happens to me online but I swear if I write late at night, like those entries, I get so reflective. I'm so glad you like it and I don't sound BONKERS. It's one of the main reason I love this book club - it's a way to really open up your heart and mind to people, and somehow the fact that it's not face-to-face makes it easier. It's part of the magic of books, too, and all art. I always thing of it like some literary associative principle - if we're both open to the same book, then we're open to each other. It's heart-to-heart!

A morning entry that's philosophical! xo

Yes, it is a heart-to-heart discussion you have with your readers, and you seem like a genuinely nice person. It's been a pleasure "meeting" you and "talking" to you!

Re: Later Chapters Discussion: Revelations

Spoiler

I enjoyed the ending very much but was not that surprised. What do you expect from an empathetic, smart man with a beard and pony tail? Something had to be wrong.
I have not participated in this group as much as would have liked since I had a few recent distractions. I will just say the book was a very good read. For me it seemed to take a little longer to get going then other Lisa books but once it rolled it was great. Natalie is a very appealing character and I hope she gets a return visit sometime. I also enjoyed how you slipped Bennie's name into the book although I would have liked to see Bennie come in and kick some butt.
Thanks for the book, Lisa.

Thanks, Paul! And just so you know, Bennie and the girls are coming back to kick some butt next book, titled LADY KILLER, coming out next March. And, of course, go Phils!

Original question....
Did you expect the final twist? What did you think of Nat's ultimate discovery

I'm sorry to say that I did expect the final twist. I suspected Angus was in on it when he handed her the cell phone at the hotel. I was figuring that the phone would be used to trace her location. I was a little thrown when she left it behind and when she called the number later and no one answered. But all along I had a feeling that Angus was somehow in on the deal.

Her setting him up was obvious to me because of my initial suspicion and because there were 15 pages left.

It seemed a little dramatic (but that's what it's all about I suppose) to have four state troopers come in with guns drawn. I was expecting more of a Columbo ending.

No offence. I did enjoy reading the book.
