It’s kind of funny when you think about it – how nowadays a book’s pop culture shelf life extends well beyond the its initial “book” phase. Read the novel. Then watch the movie (or television show)! Then buy the holiday gift book! Don’t forget the graphic novel, animated series, video game, calendar, and t-shirt!
Some may call it unadulterated commercialization but if there is a demand for this kind of product – as there definitely is – I'm all for it: especially it if involves one of my beloved novels or sagas! It’s called fandom – and it’s a beautiful thing for those who are afflicted.
So, for all of you out there who are looking for gift ideas this holiday season, here is a list of exceptional books about movies (or television series) based on books that have either recently been released or are coming out soon. Enjoy!
I’ll leave you with this humble suggestion – after watching the movie, playing the video game, perusing all of the movie companion books, and drinking from the commemorative coffee mug, how about rereading the novel?

Thanks Paul and I am certainly of the fandom category as far as my favs go, and this year if anyone is reporting directly to Santa, uhm, I'd like to request the 50 years of Bond Please. Just for the critical sense of the movies naturally, I mean, it's not like I drool over Sean, or Pierce or Rog. Um no cause I certainly don't enjoy the male anatomy, except in the, uhm, clinical sense.
Okay I'm babbling, okay I drool, okay!!!! 
I admit it, okay.
Gosh, drag it out of me why don't you.
I wouldn't mind viewing a poster or two of Pierce Brosnan myself, though.
