Books & Bites: A delicious idea from Sarah Jio and Camille Noe Pagán
Sarah Jio, New York Times bestselling author of Blackberry Winter, The Bungalow, and The Violets of March and Camille Noe Pagán, journalist and author of The Art of Forgetting, have teamed up to bring you Books & Bites, a Facebook page where they pair great books and yummy food and cocktails! Today, they've brought you two sweet pairings just in time for Valentine's Day!
Two books I'm really excited about right now (both are on my nightstand and waiting to be devoured) are Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter, and Me Before You by Jojo Meyers. Both have romantic elements in their plots, making them great contenders for Valentine's week reading!

I've read amazing things about Jess Walter's Beautiful Ruins, which is set alongside the beautiful Ligurian Sea in Italy, and the cover always makes me crave Mediterranean food. When I'm in the thick of a good book, I hate to pause to cook anything big and involved, so this quick Mediterranean orzo salad, packed with artichokes, feta cheese and kalamata olives, would definitely hit the spot. Better yet, with a glass of red! (Funny note: If you look closely in the photo above, it appears that the orzo salad is a continuation of the Italian coastline on the book's cover. See it?!)

Thanks, Sarah & Camille!
