Lucienne Diver's latest Young Adult novel, Fangtastic, has an irreverent vibe that echoes the tone of her vampire series. Here's the author to discuss her latest cover:

"Flux has always been great with my covers. I loved the ones for Vamped and Revamped, which I thought were really striking and really different from everything else out there. For Fangtastic, the team had a new, edgier idea…a vampire rave.  Since part of Fangtastic centers around the club where the vampire lifestylers hold court, and which happens to be run by actual vamps, this sounded like an intriguing concept.

"I really like what they came up with. The colors pop, and I think Gina looks cheeky, as she would. LOVE the bat necklace. I only wish the fangs could have looked more realistic, and I know they tried, but apparently the closed lips on the image chosen made that a challenge. Still, I get a lot of comments from folks that the Fangtastic cover is their favorite in the series.

"In the end, I really do love the cover, though I’m such a perfectionist that the crookedness of the sunglasses bothers me.(Not that I should mention this, in case no one else has noticed. Gah, now it will be all you can see.) I tell myself that she was just readjusting them from flashing someone a wink, because that’s the kind of girl she is…a fanged fashionista, long on attitude, short on patience with anyone messing with those she considers her peeps, and that list seems to constantly be growing.

"You can check out all the series covers (and the Vamped series music video!) on my website, as well as download the MP3 of the original song 'No Reflection' for free."

Thanks, Lucienne! I totally did not notice the crooked sunglasses, but I did notice those PERFECT eyebrows. This series has such fun covers, all.

What do you guys think?

<G> Yeah, she does still look fabulous.  You should see me obsess about pictures in my house, which never seem straight no matter how many times I adjust them.
