As if my life wasn't already full of so much excitement, my baby decided to start teething. (The nerve!) So needless to say, I've had my hands pretty full over here. Between Orajel and numerous stops to the store to try to find the perfect teething toys (anyone have a suggestion? anyone?), I've, gulp, barely had time to read!

But I've always promised myself that my favorite hobby would never fall by the wayside. No. Matter. What. Because reading is just too important and necessary to my life. I'm the kind of person who wants to dive into a story- that's not my own- I repeat- not my own- and lose myself in the drama. Someone else's drama. To temporarily forget about my own.

For me, a book is the ultimate form of escape (unless things are really, really challenging and then I'd have to put a martini at the top of that list which is all the more reason I can relate to one of the books on this list!) and I've been lucky enough to finish two completely satisfying novels that helped me escape from all the teething mayhem this week. Thank you to the authors- Meg Mitchell Moore and Sarah Strohmeyer for giving me some much- needed reprieve!

IF YOU WANT TO READ A BOOK ABOUT THE COMPLEXITY OF FAMILY
