The steampunk renaissance has become an undeniable reality over the last few years with critically acclaimed and commercially successful releases like George Mann’s The Affinity Bridge, Cherie Priest’s Boneshaker, Whitechapel Gods by S.M. Peters, and Gail Carriger's Soulless. But I can’t talk about books that played a hugely significant role in this genre reawakening without mentioning Steampunk, the 2008 anthology edited by Ann and Jeff VanderMeer. This compilation was the literary gateway to steampunk for countless readers.
