The Weight of Suffering

by Author Kelly_Corrigan on 05-18-2009 06:47 PM - last edited on 05-18-2009 06:49 PM

I've spent a lot of time cataloging suffering. Even before I was sick, I tried to sort out which was worse -- depression or estrangement, being left or being widowed, extreme poverty or extreme narcissism. Read more...

Faith and Spirituality

by Author Kelly_Corrigan on 05-11-2009 02:48 PM - last edited on 05-14-2009 10:28 AM by Administrator Jon_B

I am interested in faith and people who have it. I often write about it (essays, outlines for a novel, character sketches, a screenplay?) and think about it most days of the week. Although I am skeptical, I do pray. I do not go to church. I will always be Catholic (like I will always have brown eyes) but may grow into something else as well. Read more...

Kelly Corrigan to Guest Blog!

by Administrator PaulH on 04-20-2009 09:34 AM - last edited on 04-29-2009 03:02 PM by Administrator Jon_B

We're thrilled to announce that Kelly Corrigan, the bestselling author of The Middle Place , will be our guest blogger beginning next Monday, April 27th and running through June 1st.

The Middle Place describes "that sliver of time when parenthood and childhood overlap"; a place Kelly found herself when she and her revered father were both diagnosed with cancer. In moving, beautifully bittersweet prose, Kelly's pluck for survival and outsized personality, shines through and provides the hope she -- as well as all of us -- ultimately need.

Each of her entries will be introduced with a special video, and if you haven't had the opportunity to watch her on tape, please take a look below and see why Kelly is such an inspiration to us all.
