Always getting picked on...

I love the HP series. I always get so excited when the books and movies come out and I'm 21 and even though there is lots of other adults out there who enjoy the book I still get made fun of. I took off of work to see the new movie at the midnight showing and I got grilled at work! I imagine there are other people this happens to and I just wanted to put this out there...If you like Harry Potter, or any of the characters, and it's important to you don't let anyone else make you feel bad. I love the series and I usually tell people to shove it when they start with the harry potter cracks so anyone else who runs into the problem take a stand, I'm with you!

I think that is great for you. Sometimes people say things about Harry Potter. I say that they can have they're own opinion, but too bad because they can't change my mind about it (or anyone else for that matter). It's better to be obsessed about a book than a video game or something like that.

Don't worry you are not the only one. I am 23 and I took off work as well for the movie. I also took of the entire weekend to attend the barnes and noble Harry Potter party, buy the book, and read the entire book. I mean hey, this is a once in a lifetime thing. It's the last book, sadly and I want it to go out with a true bang. People pick on me too, I do have a couple of contacts that endulge in Harry as well, but I rarely get to speak with them. So don't feel alone in the world. I always stick up for Harry no matter who I'm talking to. We Harry fans will unite through the words of Rowling. I've my box of kleenex ready to read the last book Rowling will bring to us.

I am 34 years old so I get a lot of slack about my Harry Potter addiction. When this happens I usually tell them that they have stuff they like that I don't or that I am 34 years old, I can make my own decisions. I even used to carry a Harry Potter purse and lunchbox to work.

I get a lot of slack from my father-in-law in particular. he says that Harry Potter is satanic... roflmao

I guess he is one of those people who have no imagination.

Basically to sum it up... I don't really care what anyone else thinks.
