Re: How has everyone been?

Going to see The Hunger Games again tomorrow! I think I'll pay more attention to the music this time, so when I listen to the score, I can follow along.

Was going to go on Friday, but it seems that the only thing playing for a week will be Titanic. I still don't understand why people would want to see that in 3D. Don't they know water will come rushing at them!

Anybody alive out there?

Had another Paranormal Activity-like dream. It's been months since I saw it. When will it end?!!

But it was drinking water from my dog's water bowl! It was like I couldn't not go look. Then the creepy classical music came on from a broken stereo in a different room!! And finally, the TV came on by itself!!!

It wanted my attention.

I know I have been unavailable on the boards for quite sometime and I hope you all do understand- I have been incredibly busy with homework and track.  Let me tell you, ninth grade is not as easy as I thought it would! :smileyhappy: I am disappointed to announce that I have neglected writing and reading as a whole.  With spring break approaching, I plan to catch up on the boards and my reading and writing.

So, how as everyone been?  I have missed you all so much!

Hey, welcome back, Tiffany!  We missed you!  :smileysad:

Kat is right:  high school can be terrible, and you HAVE to trudge through it (well, I suppose if you're one of those guys from The Big Bang Theory, maybe not -- the rest of us are Penny!).

My freshman year of high school was awful.  I was trapped at this ghastly boarding school.  When you read Catcher in the Rye, pay attention to the early parts, where Holden is describing Pencey Prep -- Ackley and his crummy fingernails, 70-year-old teachers, stone walls and filthy, worn-out wooden floors -- it's a LOT like where I went!  And I HAD to go there, because, since my father taught there, my tuition was free!  So I get yanked away from what few friends I'd managed to make in the local public school in the two years since we'd moved there (the town's a hellhole, too; think the people in the movie "Deliverance") and dumped into this ugly, gloomy Victorian place that hasn't even gone co-ed yet!  And everybody hated my father (he was very mean) and, with some justification, took it out on me.  The only good thing was that I didn't have to go back the next year, because the school finally came to their senses and fired my father.

I loathed nearly every minute of it, so I REALLY sympathize with you when you say high school is not so great!  I can assure you this, though:  you will get through it eventually!  And hopefully, you won't end up all sick and twisted like me!!  :smileyvery-happy:

It is a simple thing, a step foward where so many have been only back...It is a reason to hope.

Re: How has everyone been?

[ Edited ]

Rain,  it rained here. Cold drops I don't like it when they fall on the back of you neck.

So how is everyone?

I'm taking a break and catching up. Been very busy after moving out.

Trying to get a GED my test is coming up on the 24-25 and I only have next week left to study on math!  And my grammar!

On my pre-test I passed (thanks to my really good science score) but got low grades on Math and Grammar,  so trying to study.  Getting to take classes.  Its a lot of fun, well sorta uhhhh I hate math haha.  Its a bit of a culture shock but I like it.  The teacher really liked the story I took in and told me I should keep writing to go for a degree in creative writing. Well made my day.  I'm hoping I can get my GED and try collage this fall.  Well me hope.

And try posting math and grammar questions here; I'll bet someone will be able to help!

Re: How has everyone been?

Thanks,  I might.

I'm thinking about writing a story of a girl "moving out"  like I did.

What I did was I packed all my writing in my bag (wieghed a ton)  and jumped on my bike,  I just left.
