Let's Make Some Noise

It's our last week, so let's make some noise! Here are a few things you might do here: Give your favorite writer/poster a shout out. Link to threads that have been particularly memorable--for their hilarity or their knowledge or whatever. Write an ode to the Writing Room and its fantastic members. However you'd like to wrap things up here in the Writing Room, this thread is one place in which to do it!

Ahh...The unlamented village...er...um...'fruitcake'.  Those were some interesting threads.

Ha! I'd love to see that ode. I have to say, though, it was so revealing and uplifiting to see how protecitve everyone was of this community during that time. People really rallied to bring peace back to the board instead of running for the hills. (Of course, it's better not to have to go through that kind of trial!)

It took some digging, but I found an old favorite:

Some other things that come to mind:

• Realizing that poems can be meaningful and don't always have to rhyme (pretty much everyone on the board) and also a little scary and unnerving (thank you Memnoch).
• When Darkkin became "Tedious". Only Darkkin may know why that is funny to me.
• The many unpleasant troll-like people who have passed through (I hope you are comfy and well-fed under your various bridges).
• The nice, maybe not entirely sane people I've come across here (You know who you are).
• Reading all of these stories and learning from all of you how to write.

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Since I sometimes have trouble using words to express myself, I decided to procrastinate . . . Um, find videos to show what The Writing Room has meant and some ways to move on. I tried to only use things that have been mentioned on the board in conversations or in passing. So take some time and enjoy!

Now I know that members of the board, old and new, were shocked to learn that the board was closing down. Being compiled of different types of people with various tastes and temperments, I can only assume that we all took the news differently: Whether you were frustrated and angry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6n0Uj41zlhU , distraught http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=SE9mR470fFI , or even disbelieving  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcxKIJTb3Hg , we are all in the same situation.

Hahahaha ohhh Kat that is great.  I love it.

  I can't top that but I can say I'll miss the board dearly.   Such a great place.  Got me started on short stories and got me writing poems, you guys did.

  Great times in the Coffee Shop too... Except that time Kat slapped me uh so uncalled for! 

Haha   I got started and began to  like writing I fiddled with my book, but this board turned writing into a fire a passion.  I've learned so much here and gained so much and I tried to give back some too, with my games and exercises, which I'm glad you all liked the Grill.   

Thank you all for the great times and great lessons and well putting up with me hahaha.

I don't want to say goodbye to this board but guess I must.

I'll share one last poem one I kinda been hiding.

The Rickety Bridge

I am drifting,

Kat, your post is a blast! What a great experience to go through those videos. So fun. Thanks for putting that together.
