Since 1997, you’ve been coming to to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Love Sounds

let me know what you think of this one...:smileywink:

Love Sounds

To see the world

Through heavenly eyes

Is my

Siren's call

To paradise.

I'd catch those

Captured in a memory

Beautiful stranger with his life

Of mystery

So damn sickeningly smooth!

Why can't I seem to understand

what's so wrong with loving you?

I seem to mainly be

in love with your groove -

The way you melt into your sound

Drumming my everpresent blues.

They say that

time can mend

That broken record heart

But for me

Won't even know where to start.

You seem to be

the only dream that weakens me

as my desire

puts me up on my cloud

Of sinful daydreams

Your stylish flow

Demands my listening for more

and what I hear

Attracts me near

and has me planning to explore

The little things

that seem to captivate my mind

and the fascinating study

Of things stared at

From behind

I might be addicted

To my constant thoughts of thee

and my lastingly desireable

Of you and me

You'll never get this letter

Simply 'cause of what's at stake

but there's always some potential

For heated music

We can make.

Music is the cure.
I am the addiction.

Re: Love Sounds

I like how you insinuate music into your poem. It gives it a different perspective. Overall I did enjoy it.

Re: Love Sounds

That was great!! I loved it! It definitely had passion in it, but yet at the same time it seemed subtle and it was very smooth. Good work! :smileyhappy:
