Sailors' Warning

Red Star rising.

Coming with the day.

Red Star rising.

Spearing to the heart,

Of the deepest shadows,

Of the darkest night.

Red Star rising.

Crimson. Vermilion. Gold.

Red Star rising.

Lifting to the sky,

Tracing cobalt fleece,

The remnant of a storm.

Red Star rising.

Racing with the wind.

Red Star rising.

Reaching out, stretching far,

To a thicket, dense and shrouded,

Wherein the woodland lark hides.

Red Star rising.

The blackness of the storm, broken.

Red Star rising,

Lifting above the gale.

Tracing an upturned cheek.

Tinting a billowing sail.

Red Star rising.

A familiar, beloved face.

Red Star rising.

The argent light of a waning moon,

A far reflection,

Singing to the sea.

Red Star rising.

All secrets of the world,

Red Star rising.

Awash with a fiery light.

Shadows receding,

Revealing all, clearing foggy sight.

Red Star rising.

A different name, a well known face.

Red Star rising.

Coming with the dawn, a rain lashed morning.

Red Star rising, bracing for war.

Heralding in the Sailors' Warning...
