The Mysterious Door (poem)

As I close my eyes,
And see ahead of me what lies,
I think of what it might be,
Yet I wish to turn around and leave.

Where I am 'tis dark,
But I know I must embark,
For if I do not,
What is behind it will rot.

Though I wish to go on and see,
This may not be the right time for me,
Yet if I leave it behind,
It will forever haunt my mind.

Now I have chosen,
That the door will remain shut frozen,
As I leave in peace,
Though my curiosity will not cease.

I liked this very much. You really can not critique poetry since its a pure emotion, feeling, or thought. Though i have always thought it should be like music and flow. This flows very well.
