Back to basics.
What do you see around you?
What do you feel inside?
What did you dream last night?

Another idea: write interesting words on notecards (one per card), shuffle them, then choose three at random. Incorporate those three words into a poem.

I used this a couple times to help me when I was low on ideas. I didn't always use the iPod, the radio or other outlets work just as well.
1) Pick a song on your iPod to be your title and your first line. Then hit the shuffle button and start your poem.
2)The poem must be 32 lines long and four stanzas (8 lines per stanza)
3)Each line must contain the title of each song (made obvious by capital letters) You can write what you want around it but it has to have the title of each song.
4)You have two free skips. If the song title doesn't quite fit, let it go. But becareful. You only have two. Once you've skipped it you cant go back and you can't skip anymore.
5)The poem has to make sense (and have a solid theme) and you cant use the title as a song. You can't say "Teardrops On My Guitar was our song." You have to say "You're the reason for the Teardrops On My Guitar." Try not to use the actual lyrics either.
6)Credit the songs you used when you post it.
