Halt to Production

Is there any information about whether there will be a halt to production or release date due to the lawsuit filed by Spring Design?

So far, I have not seen any indication that the lawsuit will cause any interruption with the release of the nook.

What happens to all the people who have received one and Spring Design wins?  Will we just get stuck with them?

B&N should address this immediately.

That will be addressed if it happens, which I doubt.  B&N does not comment on lawsuits, so you won't see anything on this from B&N until the case is settled.

Re: Halt to Production

Then again, this popped up at PC Magazine on the 3rd...  The paragraph of concern reads:

"The California-based company suing Barnes & Noble over its e-reader wants the court to stop the sale of the Nook, according to court documents made public Tuesday."

Re: Halt to Production

They may want it, but they're not going to get it. B&N will probably just throw a crapton of money at them to settle, or buy the company outright.  That would be sweet.  The nook 2.0, made before the nook 1.0!
