It would be wonderful if Nook would come out with a way of backing up your shelving system so in the future if you were to have your shelves disappear you could just reload the shelves or if you were to buy a new Nook reader you could just transfer all your work from your older well used Nook to your new Nook. Any chance of this?

Did a firmware update and lost all of my shelves..... this is the SECOND time this has happened to me. I am absolutely amazed that Barnes & Noble has not addressed this issue as it is just that...  an issue.  Why even OFFER shelves on the Nook devices if they are not going to support this feature and make it actually work???  


It is unacceptable for customers to have to keep re-organizing all of their content again and again. I don't see any reason why Barnes & Noble cannot make this feature sync with the B&N online so the settings are saved.


Also, with this firmware update... it didn't install correctly and actually froze my Nook up. The web icon button at the bottom of the screen was even gone. So I was ultimately forced to de-activate and re-register the Nook. Obviously, since I had already lost my shelves I didn't have much to lose in doing this...


B&N are you listening?  As I can tell I'm not the only customer frustrated at this...  It just about tempts me to take my families 3 nooks and sell them.. and switch over to a different device. What is the point of the "shelves" feature if the settings a user puts in there is not able to be backed up? 


Note: By re-registering the nook all of the firmware installation "bugs" were resolved... but it still left me frustrated at the fact I had to spend a lot of time once again organizing my content.

It's 01-13-2014.  This has been "Under Review" since 03-26-2013?  I believe it should be listed as "Completely Ignored."  How about an update?  If you're not going to fix this, just tell us.  But TELL US SOMETHING!

I've only recently started using the Lend Me option and I've quickly become frustrated with it.  Searching for a book in my library on my computer takes forever.  There should really be a search feature so you can quickly go to the book you want.  This would also be helpful when searching Nook friends' libraries.  It would also be better if you could search each friend's library individually instead of having to go through everone's at the same time.  The site always freezes and logs me out when I'm not even halfway through.  I have a simpletouch and I can search for a particular book there but I can only lend it to friends that are already registered as my Nook friends.  I can't enter a new email.
