Many are reporting "DRP Reader Failed" error message while trying to read cbz files.
I just got my Nook HD+ today and was wondering what the problem was with being able to show my cbz files, when I found this. I agree with others here, being able to read comics as well as ebooks was a major selling point for me for the Nook HD+.
B&N, please do fix this asap!
This shouldn't have gone over a month with no response at all about the inability to natively read comics on the Nook HD/HD+. I'm a firm supporter of Barnes & Noble, and I love my Nook, but this is extremely poor customer service, especially on an issue that is pretty important to a solid base of Nook users.
Have a little more respect for your customers please.
We've identified the issue and look forward to resolving with a future update/patch.
Thanks for the reply Alex. Will look forward to the update as long as it doesn't mess up any other stuff. Loving my HD+ otherwise.
I'm having a simlar issue with "enhanced" magazines....
So as of the 2.1.1 update, I can read my cbz files again! Thank you! However, I can't seem to locate the Comic Viewer function anymore. I really enjoyed having the reader focus on panels one at a time -- has this feature been removed? If it's still there, how can I access it? If not, will it be returned to us in another update?
Panel-by-panel function update:
I just spoke with the telephone customer service. I was told that with the new version of the Comic Viewer, panel-by-panel is no longer available. Can we please have that feature back?
