How do I change the email password on a Tab?

    Toller

How do I change the password for email on a Tab E. The book is worthless. It says to click on Apps and then the Email icon. This brings up email ... not any kind of settings page. I've tried every choice on the email page with no joy. I've then tried all the setting on the settings icon with no joy.

Do I have to clear the whole Nook and then set up the email account plus the thousand or so books and applications?

Which account?  Nook, email, or the Google account you use to log into Android?  If you use Gmail the last two would be the same, and it's not in the email settings.

          Try Settings - Google - Sign-in & security - Password.

I need to change the email password for the Nook ... not Google or Samsung or gmail. The password associated with the Nook Tab E. It's a small, squarish icon with the "@" showing the center.

            Thanks.

Oh.  I have that one set for my work email, which is Exchange.  To change password, I click on Settings, then click on the specific account name (you have the option of configuring multiple accounts here), right at the top.  On the next screen, at the very bottom of the options list, is (for me) "Exchange server settings".  (I assume it would be different for a different mail type.)  At the top of the next screen is user name, email address, domain\username, and password.

For my Gmail I have configured the separate Gmail app, so that I can keep my mail separate.

Thanks but that doesn't work. There is no Settings>Email>Password choice.

When I wrote to Samsung, they outlined a 10-12 step process that wasn't defined in any documentation that I have read. And ... it doesn't work. The new password is accepted but I can't get any mail on the Nook.

The Samsung process indicates that the password is a function of Samsung+ rather than the device. That's about as dumb as can be. In fact it's crazy enough that I may just drop any further use of the Tab E and either go back to the HD+ or change to Amazon Fire.

                Thanks again for trying.

I guess I'm confused.  Worst case you just remove that account from email.  Don't need to reset the whole tablet.  Open mail.  Top left, right under Inbox, is the mail account name.  Click on it.  Brings up a list of folders for the account.  To the right of the word Mailbox at the top is "Settings".  Click that.  You then get a settings page with "Accounts" at the top.  Tap the name of your account.  It brings up a page for that account, with "REMOVE" at the top right.

Once you remove the account you should be able to set it up from scratch.
