    nook color screen not lighting

I was wondering if it is possible for the screen light to not function?  and if so can I replace the bulb?  My nook will turn on and everything it is just impossible to see anything unless you hold it the right way under very bright light and strain your eyes.  (not condusive to reading:smileywink:) Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

The low power CFL is likely not replaceable.

A few years ago it cost me a bit over $200 to have the display module of a Canon EOS 20D replaced when the backlight failed. Take into account that the replacement camera was selling for over $1200, so the repair was only1/6th the cost.
