The last few days whether I check my email with the app or with the icon at the bottom of the screen, my screen bounces back to whatever I was in beforehand within seconds of openng the site.... Called customer service and of course they weren't much help.. Got suggestions?

What icon at the bottom of the screen?
There are tiny buttons at the bottom of the screen when in the email app to exit. Are you pressing those by mistake, perhaps with your palm?
