    Connecting to PC

I have not had my NC 2months yet and now the cord is not connecting to the PC. When i plug it in it pops up but immeditely disappears and is not registering. :smileysad: I hope I dont have to buy a new cord...Anybody experiencing this issue? How did you fix it?

TIA for your help! I have a ton of books to sideload

Connect your NC to your PC with a regular USB cable.  This will allow you to sideload your books and, at the same time, confirm that the problem is with your NC cable and not the USB port on the NC itself.

If you confirm that the problem is the NC cable take it, along with your NC and receipt, to the B&N store where you purchased it and ask them for help.  If you are lucky they will swap it out for a new one right there.  If not call Customer Service and ask them to send you a new cable.  In either case you should not have to buy a new cable - your NC is still under warranty.

          Good luck . . .

I've also found that connecting directly to my laptop's USB port rather than a USB port replicator often helps.

Apparently the power and/or signal that gets through a USB port replicator can be weaker than one that's direct-connected.  Other connected devices can also cause issues.

I've found this to be an issue with several phones and other USB-connected storage devices.

Did you try using a different USB port on your PC?
