I've tried everything and the Nook still won't connect to my home wifi

I've read every message on here and tried everything but still the Nook won't connect and stay connected to my home wifi.  I've updated the Nook software, the router software, tried every router setting that everyone has suggested, reformatted the Nook, etc.  I really don't think that I should have to change any settings on my home router to get this to work when everything else that I have at home works fine.  So far, I'm not impressed with this $250 paper weight.  Unfortunately, unless B&N posts a solution in the next couple of days this thing is going back.  Any new ideas of things to try would be greatly appreciated.

I called about it myself today. I am able to get connected at the B&N store but not at home. I was told it wasn't anything I was doing wrong, it was the server. They told me they knew about the problem and they were working on it. I was also told to try logging in at night but I don't want to have limits on when I can use it, like you I am frustrated and hoping it will be fixed soon.

I have the exact same problems. If they do not post a solution soon I am taking mine back, too. I am so upset because I was looking forward to using it. ALL of my other computers, playstation, xbox, etc connect just fine to my wifi. If I go into my router settings and tinker with the MAC filtering I can get it to connect briefly. But I should not have to do that and it won't stay connected. So there is some blockage with some of these routers I think but like another said I should not have to go buy a new router when ALL my other components work great with the one I have. So, B&N needs to get some sort of update or something to fix this! It seems to be a simple thing if someone would read these posts and see all of us are having the same problem and let us know if they are working on it but you hear NOTHING from B&N. ARE YOU WORKING ON THIS PROBLEM OR NOT??? AT LEAST LET US KNOW!!

I agree.  We all paid alot of money for the Nook Color to get the features that they were selling so strongly in the stores....easy to access with wi-fi... Am I now supposed to go out and spend more time and money buying a new router JUST so my Nook Color can work?  Then spend more time figuring out how to re-set everything else that's currently hooked up to my router to a new one?  Many of us are tech savvy enough to be tinkering with all of this stuff.  I paid good money for it and am not going to "wait" for possible fix (that someone suggested) that may never arrive.  I will wait until the New Year and then returning it if they don't come up with a solution or a price discount for having to buy a new router.

And boo, hiss at BN for such a crappy customer service program for this.  Waiting hours and hours only to have some person in India talk to you like you are an idiot and pawn it off on my ISP.  My ISP works fine because my laptop can connect.  But his "subject matter expert says I need to call my ISP".  Bite me!
