      How do I delete sample books from my Nook color

          Try posting your question on either the NOOKColor or NOOKColor Technical Support board; this board is for users of the classic NOOK, and the procedure may be different.

              On both the NOOK and NOOKcolor the procedure is the same.

               

              Delete the book(s) from your B&N online library.

                  I've deleted the files but the thumbnails are still there, cluttering things up. How do you get rid of it entirely?

                      Once you've deleted the samples from your online library, ensure your NOOKcolor is accessing Wi-Fi.  Then, click the 'refresh' button (the circular arrows on lower left corner of "library" page).

                  First of all, please make sure you post nookcolor concerns in the nookcolor forum...

                   

                  Secondly, to delete anything, you need to go to BN.com, log in, select 'My Nook Library' from the drop down menu under 'My Account', delete the ebooks you no longer want (and this is permanent, the only way you could get them back would be to repurchase), then SYNC your device afterwards.

                   

                  On the nookcolor you do this by tapping on the refresh icon to the left of the search bar in my library (the two circular arrow thingy), make sure you've got wifi connection though, it should spin for a little while and the said ebooks should disappear...if they don't try rebooting your NC first. Hold the power button down (top left hand side of your NC) for about 10 seconds until a message flashes on the screen asking you if you want to power down completely (yes you do), give it a minute once it's off, power it on again, check the wifi and try syncing again.
