I have a book (last Fridays frre book, Moscow Sting, which won't load for reading on any of the three Nook for the PC that I have. Instead it comes back with an error message that reads
"We are sorry, but this Barnes & Noble application has encountered a problem and it needs to close (code 012) Would you like to restart the application now?"
I've tried 5 or 6 times to no avail. I've also archived/unarchived the book. What to do?
I was able to open it in Nook for PC just now, however, I'm still on version 18.104.22.16870 and they're up to 22.214.171.12475. I haven't updated in a while. You can see which version you have right clicking in the title bar and selecting About Nook for PC. Don't know if that is the issue or not.
Archiving a book in Nook for PC does not remove the file from the PC, to do that you must click on Remove Local Copy.
Try this; Archive the Book, In Archive click on Remove Local Copy, then Unarchive the book and redownload it.
If your problem was a bad download this should solve the problem.
