Setting up Nook HD to transfer files

Hi I just got a nook HD. I previously had a nook tablet. I'm trying to authorize it with ADE, but it's not recogizing my device, but I think it's b/c it's needs to be setup for file transfer first. I'm using a Mac btw w/ w/ OS X Mavericks. I click on the drive and there are no folders there except a setup file named "MyNOOK Setup .html" I have gone thru the setup process numerous times, but it's not working. There are still no folders in the drive. Only the setup file and ADE still doesn't see my nook. Not sure what to do. Any ideas? Sorry if this has already been answered. I looked, but didn't see anything. Thanks for your help!

Nevermind about ADE. I contacted Adobe and had them reset me Authorizations and was able to authorize it from my nook. I couldn't get it to go thru on my nook so I was going to try on the computer. I still need to know what to do about setting it up to transfer files though. I've uninstalled and reinstalled that file several times, but it still has just has that same thing.

I don't have an Apple or use ADE, but I seem to remember that you need to access settings on the device to login:

            settings>Account Settings>Adobe Digital Editions>Add User

And enter your name and password.

Which you may have already done - but that's as much as I know!

Good luck with getting it sorted out.

Thanks! Yeah I got that part sorted out. I just had to get my authorizations reset w/ ADE b/c my auths had run out. From having an original nook, then a simple touch, then my nook tablet, a nook color, & a replacement nook color. Plus I think I had to reauthorize one or two of them a couple times for some reason. I can't remember why. Adobe reset it for me though. The only problem I have now is when I pull up the nook drive I don't have folders. I only have that setup file. When I click on it, it says I have to do a one-time installation to transfer files. Well I have done it over and over, but it just doesn't work. I may contact support to see if they have any insight.
