    Under the Dome ebook pages

    SHissong

I bought Under the Dome  after the paperback was released and the price dropped to $9.99.

B&N's site says that it is 1120 pages in length but my version only has 823 pages.  I contacted customer service and they said that it is just the way that the book is formatted.  The problem is that on GoodReads many people have said about the ebook being over 1000 pages.

Does anyone else own this ebook and if so how many pages are there?

I have the eBook and your number of pages is correct.

Just for future reference - the number of pages in an eBook may or may not match the number of pages in a physical copy of the book.

It all depends on how the publisher (not your nook) chose to format the book.

              Thanks for the replies.

I looked at the end of the ebook and it looked like the end of the book.  My big worry was that there was a chunk missing in the middle.

BTW it stated 1120 pp for the ebook on the website.  That is why I was concerned.  Maybe that is a misprint and that is how many are in the DTB.

I wouldn't worry unless you can go to the last page and clearly see that part of the story is missing, then call customer service back and tell them that.  But the size of the font that you choose can also impact the number of ebook pages.  I know with the book I am reading it dropped by about 10 pages when I changed the font size a little.  Also, the page number on an ebook will not change every time you "turn" the page, if you look there will probably be several page swipes before the number actually changes...this is because it takes more ebook pages to equal one actual book page, so that can affect how many pages it says there are versus how many pages you're flipping through.

I do have the ebook and would love to look but I forgot my Nook at home, but I'll have a look when I get home tonight.

The 823 is correct and the full length story.  The print version does clock in at over 1100 pages.  I'm not sure why the site lists the eBook version as 1120, but you will notice as you 'turn' the pages that the page number does not always change with it.  Either way 823 is it and it's a KILLER story no matter what the number says on the bottom of your Nook.
